At approximately 5,000 kilometres, the original engine was professionally replaced under Ford warranty by Herrod Performance with a Gen 2 USA Coyote 5.0L Aluminator crate engine. The previous owner elected to upgrade beyond the factory replacement, resulting in an engine featuring Manley H-beam connecting rods, Mahle forged pistons and billet oil pump gears as standard.

Producing an impressive 625 rear-wheel horsepower (approximately 466kW at the wheels) on BP98, this XR8 has been meticulously developed using premium components, with the majority of modifications completed by Herrod Performance, and recent tuning and driveline upgrades performed by Monsta Torque.
